HEROINES OF HEALTH NOMINATIONS

WWomen in Global Health aims to recognise outstanding contributions by women leaders in health, and to elevate the campaign for gender equity and diversity in global health, via the Heroines of Health Awards to be presented at a gala event during the World Health Summit in Berlin, 16-18 October. The event will celebrate women health leaders and champions working on the frontlines of health, including those accelerating policy change for gender equality and diversity.

Women in Global Health Australia has been asked to select one nominee for the award. This nominee will be considered with other nominations from the WGH Chapters across the Asia Pacific and Middle East region. One nominee from the region will be selected to receive a Heroines of Health Award and attend the Heroines of Health Gala during the coming World Health Summit in Berlin.

All nominations will be reviewed by the Women in Global Health Australia Steering Committee and the final decision will be made by Women in Global Health.

Nominations close 5:00pm AEST Monday 25th July 2022.

Nomination criteria

A woman currently working in health in Australia or in Asia, the Pacific or the Middle East who is addressing global health challenges in their community through any of the following:

• providing health care and innovating solutions

• advancing universal health coverage

• pushing for policy changes towards gender equity and diversity in global health

• changing the face of global health
